Xlovecam to Release New VR Camera, Platform in 2023

BUCHAREST — Xlovecam has partnered with Charm Studio Bucharest in preparation for the projected 2023 release of its VR streaming platform and VR.CAM 01 camera, prototypes of which are being sent to selected beta testers worldwide.

Xlovecam, said a rep, “has seen that it is time to propose an affordable and performant solution for content creators, live cam models, studios and platforms. Streaming VR will augment the bond between content creators or entertainment service providers and their viewers, helping creators gain more engagement as well as increasing intimacy with viewers.”

The VR.CAM 01 camera and the Xlovecam VR streaming platform were engineered by the Xlovecam team to fit current market standards of 2.5K pixels and 30 FPS to optimize content for those using the Oculus 2 browser, Pico 4 or Quest pro. The Xlovecam VR platform's servers, the rep added, will “provide a low latency infrastructure for live interaction.”

The rep noted that official production of the VR.CAM 01 will start in the first quarter of 2023, with the camera priced at around $150, plus tax and shipping.

The rep noted that the company is “also working on a more advanced version of the VR.CAM 01 webcam that will include 4K pixels for the most demanding content creators. This version should be ready for mass production in Q4 2023 with a price tag of $200, plus tax and shipping.”
